Tribeca Loft is a minimalist apartment in New York City, USA, designed by Colin King and it is also the private residence of designer Colin King.

The loft was once a factory, and when Colin King first arrived, his heart was captured by the sight of its open layout, soaring ceilings, and impressively large windows. Although the loft had been previously remodeled, when Colin King chose it for his renovation, he began a journey to unveil the space's inherent charm anew.

Colin King eliminated the remnants of the previous remodel and opened the design with a focus on celebrating the original essence of the space. By stripping and refinishing the flooring, designing new doors, cementing or painting every wall, and replacing all the hardware, Colin King transformed the space and ultimately achieved the light and spacious feel he was looking for.

Colin King discovered the loft's original pine floors, which had been hidden by a dark stain but now came to the fore in the space. This is the first time he has designed custom furniture for his living space and used pieces from local galleries as artistic additions to the space.

These include memorabilia from previous projects, childhood mementos, and assorted rocks - a reminder of his past hobby of collecting stones, an organic sculptural element of his private residence in the cityscape, and embellishments of bookshelves, window sills, and even the base of his homemade coffee table.

This vision ensures that his private home is always vibrant, as every design and every object reflects his creative journey and evolution.
