本次设计委托改造的房子在北京市西城区，步行十分钟就能走到老胡同、老四合院荟聚的地方，套内建筑面积200平方米。当我们实地测量后发现，无论是朝向，还是采光都没有优势，加之原本的隔间使得功能，动线混乱，完全不能满足空间使用者的未来生活。

拆掉思维的墙，平面的布局归于原点，将东西北三面都用大面积的玻璃窗引入日光，最大限度地利用自然光，提升居住舒适度，通过设计让自然光线流转灵动。这是一种对光影还有空间的组织能力，需要对各部分尺度关系与使用者进行沟通和梳理。视觉上的开阔，光晕染的每个角落，让人随心沉浸到自我的空间当中。

客餐厅开放式格局，行云流水的几何线条于空间中，模糊了区域边界和认知，构建出更多元的公共空间体验场景。没有隔栈堆叠，以沙发餐桌为重心的生活形态渐次向外自由延伸，光影流转间，满是生活哲意。客餐厅和走廊之间的定制木门，每扇门各有200余个透光的正方形小方格，既呼应了整个户型的方正格局，又在功能上虚实相生，使得作为公域的客餐厅和作为私域的居住区既有联系又有区隔，在动线和空间组织上非常合理。木门的底部两侧借鉴了四合院的门枕石，打造了两个石质构件，既有现代大宅的设计感，又将北京传统中式建筑的暗线草蛇灰线隐含其中。

三代同堂，双卫是解决生活功能的标配。对收纳的定制化设计，秉承以审美意趣以生活体验，卧室和走廊都有收纳空间，以存储空间大、足够私密为第一要义。走廊东侧墙的收纳空间，主要是以展示物品，提升美感和高格调为首要目标。入户门左侧也就是客餐厅的西首是大型的收纳空间，与厨房的收纳空间贯通，外面配以木门。日常零星大小物件各得其所，方便实用。
