Located in a forest near the centre of the Moran Oberland, Schnee-Eule was designed for a family of four to escape the city and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

Schnee-Eule位于莫兰高地中心附近的森林中，专为四口之家设计，可让居住者逃离城市，享受大自然的宁静。

The design language of the house is ‘borrowed’ from the architecture of the Austrian Alps, which inspired the name of the project, Schnee-Eule is the German word for Snowy Owl, a white owl that can be seen in Canada in the winter.

房子的设计语言是从奥地利阿尔卑斯山的建筑中“借”来的，这也是该项目名称的灵感。Schnee-Eule是雪鸮的德语单词，这一种白色的猫头鹰，在冬天的加拿大可以看到它们的出现。

In the early stages of the design of Schnee-Eule, the design team paid great attention to the compactness of the building and the floor plan, hoping to maximise the use of space through design, which allows for more possibilities with the original footprint.

Schnee-Eule在设计初期，设计团队非常重视建筑与平面布局之间的紧凑性，希望通过设计让空间使用得到最大化，这使得原来仅有的占地面积拥有更多的可能性。

Vertically mounted white timber cladding ‘camouflages’ the project in the winter landscape, and the horizontal subdivision of the façade recalls a traditional alpine hut with a double-sloped roof with large overhangs.

垂直安装的白色木质覆层在冬季景观中为该项目进行了“伪装”，外立面的水平细分让人想起传统的高山小屋，以及带有大悬垂的双坡屋顶。

Outdoor activities are at the heart of the owners' family life, so the design team equipped a gym on the ground floor in a space with views to the outdoors and horizontal access to cross-country, ski and mountain bike trails.

户外活动是业主家庭生活的核心，因此设计团队在一楼可以看到户外的空间配备了一个健身房，并提供通往越野、滑雪和山地自行车道的水平通道。

A spacious terrace and a screened balcony make for a smooth transition between the living room and the outdoors by connecting to the south-facing living room.

一个宽敞的露台和一个带屏风的阳台通过连接朝南的客厅，使得客厅和室外之间的过渡变得顺畅。

The interior of the space is characterised by an atmosphere of calm and warmth, with windows projecting outwards to make way for the contemplation of nature and the play of light. Centred around the fireplace, the communal area invites relaxation.

空间内部的特点是平静和温暖的气氛，往外凸出的窗户为自然的沉思和光线的游戏进行让位。以火炉为中心，公共区域邀请人们在此放松身心。

The light of the space creates a picture here, together with the reading niche in the master bedroom, and the vertical volume of the building ‘nestles’ the first floor bedroom in the treetops, which is interesting to see from a distance.

空间的光线在此创造了一幅画面，共同进行光线创造的还有主卧室的阅读壁龛，建筑的垂直体量像将二层的卧室“嵌套”在树梢上，远看非常有趣。
