The residence is located on the fifth floor of the building, with an area of approximately 70 square metres, and is designed for a single person with an interest in art and old objects.

In a medium-sized flat, the design team considered more about freeing up the façade of each individual space, reducing the shaping of the backdrops (e.g. entrance foyer, living room, dining room, backdrop of bed, etc.) and breaking up the façade of each space.

Before the remodelling, it was a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, with the two bedrooms positioned close to the neighbouring street (in the direction of the picture), plus the balcony had completely blocked the main sunlight from the east from reaching the living room and dining room.

The remodelled space can be used for two people. Another single room was incorporated into the living and dining room to direct the east-facing sunlight in; the kitchen was freed up and turned into a modern western-style kitchen area; and the bathroom was enlarged and incorporated into a walk-in cloakroom.
