SHEGU DESIGN founder Xie Yinqiu was commissioned by a couple who have been living abroad for many years to design a minimalist private residence in Guangzhou The Bayview. Having seen the world in all its splendour and bustle, the couple's vision for the space favoured a clean and uncluttered look, a soothing texture, refined and smooth lines, and a unique aura of natural flow.

设谷设计事务所的创始人谢银秋受一对海外旅居多年的夫妇委托，在广州侨鑫汇悦台设计了一间极简私人住宅。这对夫妇看尽了世界繁茂与喧闹，空间愿景则更崇尚于整洁无杂的外观、令人舒心的质感、精致流畅的线条，以及自然流露的独特气质。

Pacing in front of the window, looking out over the city, the water and the smoke are reflected in the colourful clouds of the Guangzhou Tower. In a residential space like this one, light is the inspiration for the designers. Natural light tilts in from the 270-degree windows, blending with the cityscape in front of us, transparent and flexible, as if it were an island of light suspended in the air, full of healing and serene energy.

踱步至窗前望整座城，澄水岚烟处，映入眼帘的是广州塔的七彩云霓。在这样一个跃层的住宅空间中，光赋予了设计师灵感。自然光从270度大窗倾斜进来，与眼前的城市景致融合，通透而灵活，仿佛是一座悬于空中的光之岛，充满治愈与宁静的能量。

When the light slides into the space, the light and shadow are the lines travelling in the space, and the whole space is clear and distinct.

当光滑入空间，光影是空间内游走的线条，另整个空间明暗分明。
