Architect Clément Lesnoff-Rocard has created a bright family home within a 1910 historic building in Paris's 5th arrondissement. He shed the original space's "overly serious" traces by removing partition walls to allow light to flow freely. His aim was to blend architectural elements and decorative details from different historical periods, intertwining real and imagined spaces to present a near-surrealist style.

The living room is the open heart of the space, featuring white resin parquet flooring reminiscent of a contemporary piazza. The room presents an artful mix of furniture and artworks: a coffee table and floor lamp by Atelier Ellery, a mirror-accented opaline glass pendant lamp designed by Lesnoff-Rocard, and a 1960s Osaka sofa by Pierre Paulin.

Inspired by the social nature of ancient Roman baths, this design blurs functional boundaries, merging work, socializing, and relaxation.

The Median pendant lamp by Apparatus and wall lamps by Jasper Morrison set the mood. Pierre Frey curtains reappear, balancing the coolness of the marble and mirrored surfaces. The space simultaneously fulfills diverse needs: bathing, working, and resting.

A geometrically patterned leather headboard serves as the visual anchor, softly illuminated by a mother-of-pearl pendant lamp by Verner Panton; ceramic vases by Héloïse Piraud and a draped concrete sculpture by Marc Leschelier add accents. The contrast between soft leather and hard concrete once again becomes part of the spatial narrative.
