Chengdu, known as the Land of Heaven, is a city whose charm lies not only in its rich cultural heritage and unique cuisine, but also in the aura of calmness that slows down the busy pace of life. With this in mind, ANG 3 STUDIO's design team was fortunate to meet a homeowner who understands the art of living and pursues quality choices. The project was a redesign of a 180-square-meter space in urban Chengdu. The original home was a typical “model house” style, with a modest exterior and an interior layout that did not fit the homeowner's daily needs. As a result, the owner commissioned the design team to transform the space into a minimalist residence with a clear black-and-white color palette and endless elegance.

成都，这座被誉为天府之国的城市，其魅力不仅深藏于优厚的文化底蕴与风味独特的美食之中，更在于能让繁忙生活节奏放缓的那份淡然气质。基于此，ANG 3 STUDIO的设计团队有幸遇见了一位深谙生活艺术、追求品质之选的屋主。该项目是成都市区内一处180平方米空间的精装修再设计，原住宅是典型的“样板间”风格，外观中规中矩，内部布局亦未能贴合屋主的日常所需。因此，屋主委托设计团队，旨在将其转型为一个黑白分明、优雅无尽的极简居所。

Starting with the sofa, the concept of the color layout of the home is quietly laid out. The two deep black curved sofas “surround” the living room area in an elegant manner, embracing not only a space for relaxation, but also the heart of the family's gathering and entertainment. A customized large white marble display case for vases and journals, and a built-in alcohol fireplace to the lower right, create a cozy atmosphere at night and during the cold season.

从沙发启程，悄然铺陈着居室的色彩布局理念。两款深邃黑色的弧形沙发，以一种优雅的姿态“环绕”着客厅区域，它们所拥抱的，不仅是休憩的空间，更是家庭欢聚与娱乐的核心地带。定制款大花白大理石陈列柜，适宜摆放花瓶与期刊，其右下侧配置的是嵌入式真火酒精壁炉，在夜晚及寒冷季节悄然营造温馨氛围。

Chengdu seems to have always implied an atmosphere of exploration and generosity, which is reflected in the design that retains the original beam structure, adding a touch of unobtrusive nature to the living room space. The open design of the remodeled kitchen makes the separation between the living room and the dining room less obvious, which is not inappropriate, but rather makes the space appear more transparent and wide, and the two originally separate functional areas now integrate with each other, complementing each other. The two separate functional areas are now integrated and complementary to each other. Whereas in the past you might have been limited to lounging on the sofa and watching a TV program, you now have the option of “watching a movie while having a drink”.

成都似乎一直隐含着一种勇于探索和宽以待人的氛围，这种氛围在保留原始梁结构的设计中得到了体现，为客厅空间增添了一抹不经意的自然韵味。改造后的厨房采用了开放式设计，客厅与餐厅之间的分隔变得不那么明显，这非但没有不妥，反而让空间显得更加通透宽阔，两个原本各自独立的功能区域如今相互融合，相辅相成。以往可能仅限于在沙发上休憩观看电视节目，如今则增添了一个“边小酌边看电影”的选择。

The dining room has taken over the original social function of the living room, people are no longer confined to the living room activities, the integration of the guest dining room for home leisure time to add more options. The island and countertop constructed with large white marble add a touch of subtle elegance and nobility to the space. The chandelier designed by Mario Tsai Studio, an emerging design studio in China, quietly adorns the dining room and enhances the visual aesthetics. The staggered heights of the dining area and island countertop each correspond to a variety of dining experiences.

餐厅已接手起客厅原有的社交功能，人们不再局限于客厅活动，客餐厅的融合为居家休闲时光增添了更多选择。以大花白大理石构建的岛台与台面，为空间增添了一抹含蓄的雅致与贵气。国内新兴设计工作室Mario Tsai Studio设计的吊灯，静静地点缀于餐厅之上，提升了视觉美感。高低错落的餐区与岛台，各自对应着多样化的用餐体验。

The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, separate bathroom and indoor bathtub, which quietly illustrates the pursuit of quality of life with its en-suite layout. Given the homeowner's preference for black, the interior incorporates a large number of black elements, creating a deep and elegant ambience. The indoor bathtub is made of a single block of silver-gray natural stone, its surface texture is natural, exuding a simple and restrained natural flavor. The fusion of black and white creates a subtle visual hierarchy, as if the space extends quietly into the distance beyond the window. The use of color differences to define the dry and wet zones is not only clever, but it also strikes a chord with the owner's cold, high-class aesthetics in terms of appearance.

主卧设有步入式衣帽间、独立卫浴空间及室内浴缸，以套房布局默默诠释着生活品质的追求。鉴于屋主对黑色的偏爱，室内大量融入了黑色元素，营造出一种深邃而不失高雅的环境氛围。室内浴缸由一整块银灰色的天然石材精心雕琢而成，其表面纹理浑然天成，散发着质朴而内敛的自然韵味。黑白融合创造出微妙的视觉层次，仿佛空间悄然延伸向窗外的远方。采用色彩差异来界定干区与湿区，这一设计不仅巧妙，而且外观上更是戳中业主冰冷高级的审美。

In the design of the children's room, the design team experimentally chose duck yellow as the main color of the children's room, which produces a cozy warmth that is perfect for children's childishness. By adjusting the height of the floor bed, the resting area and activity area are skillfully defined, giving the children a ritualistic sleeping experience. The customized cabinet and table play the role of learning and storage in the process of growing up.

在儿童房的设计中，设计团队试验性的选择了鸭黄色作为儿童房的主色调，产生了非常适合孩童稚气的温馨。通过调整地台床的高度，巧妙地界定了休憩区域与活动区域，赋予小朋友有仪式感的入睡体验。特别定制的柜桌一体，扮演着成长过程中学习和收纳的角色。

The study reaffirms the black and white color scheme of the space, echoing the design of the bathroom. As a place for meditative reading and work, the choice of black as the base color helps to enhance concentration. In addition, the south-facing windows with understated black window frames can effectively moderate glare and maintain a soft natural light environment in the room. To the right of the desk and the back, a simple L-shaped closet silently provides ample storage space, and the bottom of its right side cleverly hides a rectangular cabinet door, which, when gently pulled, reveals a retractable hidden bed, providing a convenient resting place for occasional visits from family and friends. The black cabinet at the back has a shelf for books and displays.

书房再次重申黑与白的空间色彩搭配，与卫生间的设计形成了呼应。作为静心阅读与工作的场所，选用黑色作为基调，有助于提升专注力。此外，朝南窗户配以低调的黑色窗框，能有效缓和强光，维持室内柔和的自然光线环境。书桌右侧与后方，一款简约的L形衣柜默默提供了充足的储物空间，其右侧底部巧妙隐藏着一扇长方形柜门，轻轻一拉，便展现出一张可伸缩的隐蔽床榻，为偶尔到访的家人朋友提供了便利的休憩之处。而位于后方的黑色柜体，则贴心增设了一处置物架，用于安放书籍及展示陈列品。

Chengdu is a city of expression and tolerance, where people live at a unique pace, relaxed but not compromised. It is this spirit of non-conformity and uncompromising style that has given birth to this elegant and functional home.

成都是一个敢于表达且极具包容力的城市，这里的人们秉持着独有的生活步调，虽悠然，却非妥协之态。正是这种不拘泥于常规、力求不凡的精神，孕育出了这套外表雅致、内里实用的居所。
